Upside Down Text Generator
Flip your text completely upside down using Unicode characters that visually appear as inverted versions of normal letters — works anywhere you can paste text.
What Does This Tool Do?
Upside down text takes your normal letters and replaces them with Unicode characters that look like those letters flipped 180 degrees. The entire text is also reversed so it reads right-to-left. The result genuinely looks like someone physically flipped the text upside down.
Key Features
How to Use This Tool
- Type or paste your text.
- Click Convert to flip it upside down.
- Copy the flipped text and paste it into social media, messages, or anywhere you like.
How It Works
Each letter is mapped to its closest Unicode upside-down equivalent (for example, "a" becomes "ɐ", "e" becomes "ǝ", "h" becomes "ɥ"). The entire character sequence is also reversed so the flipped text reads correctly from right to left, as it would if you physically rotated the page.
Common Use Cases
Frequently Asked Questions
Does every letter have an upside-down equivalent?
Most common letters have close Unicode equivalents. Letters without perfect upside-down forms use the nearest visual alternative.
Can I read upside-down text without special tools?
Yes — you can physically rotate your screen or device 180 degrees to read the text normally.
