Hieroglyphics Translator
Convert your text into ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols using Unicode hieroglyph characters — a fun way to write in the style of ancient Egypt.
What Does This Tool Do?
Ancient Egyptians wrote using pictographic symbols called hieroglyphs. This tool converts modern letters into their Unicode hieroglyph equivalents — characters from the Egyptian Hieroglyphs Unicode block that visually resemble ancient Egyptian writing. Each letter maps to a relevant hieroglyph symbol.
Key Features
How to Use This Tool
- Type or paste your text.
- The hieroglyphic equivalent appears instantly.
- Copy and share your message written in hieroglyphs.
How It Works
Each letter of the alphabet is mapped to a corresponding Unicode character from the Egyptian Hieroglyphs block (U+13000–U+1342F). These are actual Unicode hieroglyph characters, not images, so they can be copied and pasted as text.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this how real hieroglyphs work?
This tool provides an approximate letter-to-hieroglyph mapping for fun. Real ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics used a much more complex logographic system that doesn't directly map to our alphabet.
Can I display this on all devices?
Unicode hieroglyphs require a font that supports the Egyptian Hieroglyphs block. Most modern systems support this, but older devices may show boxes instead.
